ladies!
how are you? my days in the US have almost added up to a week now. surprisingly or not so surprisingly, the first thing i asked when i got here too was, where is everybody. but i've come a long way from there (yours truly is now posing questions like, what would it take for me to live on clearance counter wine and gasoline). anyhow, chicago was nothing less than mindblasting. i fell in LOVE with that city like nothing before it. something was germinating in the windy air because i did not want to leave. from the airport to the appearance of the cs tower from amidst the clouds (the unfolding of which made me think about the great tower of mordor), to this art video that was so supremely poetic that it made me want to get and back and start making films already, to henri fucking matisse and some van gogh that made me wet my pants a little.. ok, no verbal diarrhoea here, some things have to be told in person. georgetown, and consequently, DC, is brilliant. the weather is salubrious, and the people are too. tomorrow morning i'm going kayakking in the body of water that exists here (the name of which i do not know). i am excited. today, i scaled possibly the steepest escalator in the whole fucking world. it is positively scary. other than that i am having raspberries for dinner as i write. RASPBERRIES! i forgot they were this fizzy. children, i'm having a crazy time. i should write a whole other post about the people i've met so far. but that's another day.
oh, and this is what my digicam decided to do today. lovely little ixus.
love and raspberry kisses to you both,
swindle.
p.s. travelling alone means i can have a ball with my fake accents game (think guard, surrealism and british accent).
p.p.s. i took some interesting video footage that i will share soon.
