Stupas - M.P.

Over a day we had gone from Gurgaon to Allahabad and into Madhya Pradesh, led by the yellow-green farmlands beyond our chilled windows. Where we were led was called Deur Kothar. Not much for me to understand at the time / mahua. Wanted to be sitting inside one of these things though..

"Monasteries hewn from the mountainside" is what I later read.

And a transliteration of an inscription:

>>Afzal Guru was hanged today -- the train lugged us back into Delhi very close to the time. Things almost always happen somewhere else.
