Winter memory

There's a beautiful glyricidia tree near my house that bursts with blooms of the loveliest pink every winter. It's strange how quiet that tree feels during the rest of the year- like now, when its flowers have fallen and its leaves dry-  and how outwardly expressive it seems when it's late winter.
