The Red Room

The Delhi Central Railway Station is so weird with this red flashing from every board above eye level sea level see level. It reflects off of everything around, giving the whole thing an eerie, thuggish yet whimsical appeal. I love taking photos in coloured light, I learnt.

Inertia

I went travelling in my head last night. I was in crowded buses, empty trains, standing in the door as the wind whooshed past. Think I was going someplace in Madhya Pradesh. It was always night when I was in motion. I saw strange spangled trees with no leaves, but just these long, stringy seedpods. I slept during the day, I never remember where I slept in the mornings, but nights were always for movement. All I saw of all these places was a blurred landscape escaping from view, like it was hiding.

My body is still tuned to the motion of my Madhya Rail times.

Dear Ink and Swindy

Lovely Pictures Ink,
I love train journeys.
So meditative,
so poetic.

Swindy,
How was your million hour flight?
Whats the weather like in sunny california?

I have spent the week meeting various crafts people in Ahmedabad.
Its amazing how rich Gujarat is in hand crafted fabrics and products.
We must spend some of SAN 301 time here.
love.
